About CII

Professional capability built from community experience

Care Innovation Institute is the professional and commercial arm of a wider care ecosystem, translating community insight into sector-wide capability.

Our Story

From caregivers, for the sector

SG Assist began from caregivers recognising that caregivers themselves needed support. Over time, that community-rooted work expanded into community mobilisation, CareConnect, senior empowerment, gerontechnology, training, programme design and sector capability.

This evolution led to the clarification of roles between SG Assist Ltd and Care Innovation Institute. CII is not a departure from SG Assist, it is the professional capability that grew from the same founding mission, now directed at strengthening the organisations and systems that deliver care across Singapore.

CII works with social service agencies, government bodies, funders, corporate partners, healthcare organisations, academic institutions and community partners, grounded by the operational realities of care delivery.

Why CII Exists

Community insight meets sector capability

Organisations need more than good intentions. They need partners who understand what works in practice because they have done it themselves.

🏘

Community insight

Our work is shaped by direct, ongoing experience with seniors, caregivers and persons with disabilities, not abstracted from them.

📋

Professional capability

We bring the rigour of grant management, programme design, project management and evaluation to every engagement.

⚙

Practical implementation

We build solutions that work in the field, operationally realistic, resource-aware and ready from day one.

Our Approach

How we work

01

Listen first

Every engagement starts with understanding the real context, the people, the constraints, and the outcomes that matter.

02

Design together

We co-create solutions with the organisations and communities who will implement them, not hand down recommendations.

03

Build for scale

Our solutions are designed to be adopted, adapted and sustained, not dependent on continued external support.
